Genius and madness have always been compared as two halves of the
same coin. In Gail Saltz' book The Power Of Different not only are these comparisons made, they're proved to be inextricably linked.
Saltz covers off a broad range of brain differences or mental disorders. She explains both the positives and negatives of each difference and provides some insight to how folks with that particular difference can thrive.
There is a reason these differences have not been weeded out by evolution. Whether you're a neurotypical or someone with a brain difference this book is an interesting read.
If you're prone to self diagnosis and can find that troubling this book is probably best avoided.
